Virginia Parks
Virginia Parks champions interdisciplinary research on urban inequality, serving as a Professor of Urban Planning and Public Policy and the Faculty Director of the UCI Labor Center at the University of California, Irvine. Her academic pursuits are deeply rooted in examining the multifaceted dimensions of urban inequality, with a particular emphasis on labor and employment, racial and gender disparities, urban policy and politics, and local economic development. Her extensive body of work includes publications that delve into critical issues such as the racial wage gap, workplace diversity, low-wage labor, and the politics surrounding urban development.
