Blending theory and practice to improve veterinary medicine, Dr. Olivia Petritz serves as an Associate Professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University. Her academic journey began at Purdue University, where she earned both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees. Following her formal education, Dr. Petritz pursued extensive training through residencies in small animal medicine and surgery, exotic animal medicine, and companion exotics and zoo medicine. Her dedication and expertise in these fields have earned her board certification, a testament to her commitment to advancing veterinary science. Before joining NC State, Dr. Petritz honed her skills in specialty hospitals across California and Los Angeles, where she gained invaluable experience in treating a diverse range of animal species.
