Dr. Glenn E. Smith leads initiatives in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Florida, where he serves as a Professor. With a distinguished career as a board-certified neuropsychologist, Dr. Smith is also the Interim Director of the 1Florida Alzheimerâs Disease Research Center. His research is primarily focused on the early detection of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimerâs and mild cognitive impairment, as well as developing strategies to prevent or delay the onset of dementia. With over three decades of clinical practice, Dr. Smith has established himself as a leading expert in the field of neuropsychology. His extensive body of work includes numerous articles, book chapters, and books that delve into the neuropsychology of cognitive aging and dementia. His contributions have significantly advanced the understanding of behavioral interventions and the detection of neurodegenerative diseases.
