Olesya Ilkun

Professor Olesya Ilkun is pursuing advances in the field of nephrology with a focus on improving patient outcomes in chronic kidney disease and related disorders. As an Assistant Professor of Nephrology at the University of Florida College of Medicine, she is dedicated to both clinical practice and academic research. Her board certifications in Internal Medicine and Nephrology from the American Board of Internal Medicine underscore her expertise and commitment to the field. Dr. Ilkun's academic journey began with a PhD in Biochemistry, which she completed in 2011 at the University of Utah. Her passion for medicine led her to pursue an MD degree, which she obtained in 2017 from the same institution. Following her medical education, she completed an Internal Medicine residency and a Nephrology fellowship at the University of Utah, where she honed her skills in managing complex renal conditions. Her clinical interests are diverse, encompassing chronic kidney disease, organ transplantation, hypertension, metabolic diseases, and end-stage renal disease.
