Maximilian Auffhammer

Dr. Maximilian Auffhammer conducts research on environmental and resource economics, energy economics, and applied econometrics. He is a professor of International Sustainable Development and serves as the Associate Dean in the Division of Social Sciences at UC Berkeley. Dr. Auffhammer's academic journey began with a B.S. in environmental science, followed by an M.S. in environmental and resource economics, culminating in a Ph.D. in Economics. Throughout his career, Dr. Auffhammer has made significant contributions to the field of environmental economics, focusing on the intersection of economic policy and sustainable development. His work often explores the economic impacts of climate change and the effectiveness of environmental regulations, providing valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders. Dr. Auffhammer's excellence in teaching has been recognized with several prestigious awards.
