Dr. Lawrence (Torry) Winn specializes in cutting-edge techniques for addressing racial inequalities and fostering equity in education. As an Associate Professor of Teaching in Education at the University of California-Davis, he is deeply committed to exploring how youth, particularly those from historically marginalized communities of color, navigate the complex landscape of racial inequities. His work is pivotal in understanding and bridging opportunity gaps through transformative justice pedagogy and critical consciousness. Dr. Winn is a co-author of the influential Race to Equity Report, which sheds light on the systemic challenges faced by youth of color.
