Andrew J. Mannix

Professor Andrew J. Mannix is dedicated to fostering understanding of the intricate world of materials science, with a particular focus on the challenges and opportunities presented by climate change. As an Assistant Professor in the Materials Science & Engineering department at Stanford University, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his research and teaching. With a B.S. degree in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University, Professor Mannix has cultivated a deep expertise in two-dimensional materials, such as graphene and other layered structures. Before his tenure at Stanford, Professor Mannix honed his research skills as a Kadanoff-Rice Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Chicago.
