John McElroy

Focused on real-world applications of literacy and education, John McElroy is an Assistant Professor in the Writing, Rhetoric, and Cultures department at Michigan State University. With over two decades of teaching experience spanning both secondary and post-secondary education, he brings a wealth of practical knowledge and insight to his academic endeavors. John earned his Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction from Clemson University in 2017, where he honed his expertise in developing innovative educational strategies. John's research interests are deeply rooted in community literacy, teacher preparation, and education reform.
