

Jean Thomas
Bringing clarity to complex systems in family medicine, Dr. Jean Thomas serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine. Since joining the faculty in 1994, Dr. Thomas has been instrumental in shaping the curriculum, particularly in the areas of dermatology and substance abuse, where his expertise has greatly benefited both students and the broader medical community. Dr. Thomas's academic journey began at the University of Michigan Medical School, where he developed a strong foundation in medical sciences. Following his medical education, he completed his residency at the Grand Rapids Family Practice Residency, gaining valuable hands-on experience and honing his skills in family medicine. His commitment to education and patient care has been a driving force throughout his career. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Thomas is actively involved in various departmental initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and advancing medical education.
