As an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Utah State University, Tian is dedicated to advancing the field through both his teaching and research endeavors. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Michigan State University in 2023, where he also completed his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with Honor in 2016. This strong academic foundation has equipped him with a deep understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of technology, which he brings into his research and classroom. Tian's research interests are diverse and forward-thinking, encompassing areas such as security, the Internet of Things (IoT), mobile computing, mobile networks and systems, secure cloud computing/services, blockchain technologies, and data analysis.
