Professor leading studies in tropical medicine, Dr. Terrie E. Taylor is an esteemed MSU Foundation Professor and University Distinguished Professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Michigan State University. With an unwavering commitment spanning over three decades, Dr. Taylor has been at the forefront of the battle against malaria, particularly in Malawi. Her work is pivotal in understanding and treating pediatric cerebral malaria, a focus that has driven her to spend half of each year in Malawi, where she conducts groundbreaking research and provides critical care to young patients. Dr. Taylor's dedication extends beyond research and patient care; she is also a passionate mentor. Each year, she personally sponsors 24 students to join her in Malawi, offering them invaluable hands-on experience in the field of tropical medicine.
