Dr. Emily Kline has contributed extensively to the field of law through her academic and professional endeavors. She is an Associate Clinical Professor of Law at Rutgers Law School, where she has been shaping the minds of future legal professionals since 2001. Dr. Kline's academic journey began at Barnard College, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992. She then pursued her legal education at Rutgers School of Law–Newark, obtaining her Juris Doctor in 1997. Following her graduation, Dr. Kline embarked on a distinguished career in law, initially practicing labor and employment law at the prestigious firm O’Melveny & Myers. Her expertise expanded as she delved into intellectual property law and general litigation while working with Friedman Siegelbaum and Goodwin Procter. Her diverse legal experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of various legal disciplines, which she brings into her teaching. At Rutgers Law School, Dr. Kline is an integral part of the Legal Research and Writing Program, where she has been an instructor since 2001.
