Dr. Chenghua Shao has a longstanding interest in the intricate fields of biochemistry, statistics, and structural biology. As an Assistant Research Professor at Rutgers University-Camden, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Biomathematics department. Dr. Shao's academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Peking University in 1997, followed by a Master's in Biophysics from the same institution in 2001. His pursuit of knowledge led him to Boston University, where he earned his Ph.D. in Biophysics in 2007. Further enhancing his analytical skills, Dr. Shao obtained a Master's degree in Statistics from Rutgers University in 2014. His diverse educational background has equipped him with a unique perspective on data analysis and structural biology, which he applies in his research endeavors. At the Protein Data Bank (PDB), Dr. Shao focuses on data processing and analysis, contributing significantly to the understanding of protein structures.
