

E. Renee Cantwell
Dr. E. Renee Cantwell is transforming the field of nursing through her extensive expertise and dedication to advancing healthcare education and practice. As a Professor Emerita at Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden, she has made significant contributions to the development and implementation of Nursing Student Success Programs, ensuring that future generations of nurses are well-prepared to meet the challenges of the healthcare industry. Dr. Cantwell's academic journey is marked by a strong foundation in nursing education, having earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Duquesne University, as well as both her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Widener University. Her research interests are diverse and impactful, focusing on Quality Improvement in Healthcare, Nursing Education Research, and the critical issue of Human Trafficking. In addition to her academic and research pursuits, Dr. Cantwell is actively involved in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the nursing profession. She is a valued member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Group (DEIG), where she works collaboratively with colleagues to foster an inclusive environment that supports the success of all nursing students and professionals. Throughout her career, Dr. Cantwell has been a passionate advocate for improving healthcare outcomes and enhancing the educational experiences of nursing students. Her work continues to inspire and influence both her peers and the next generation of nursing leaders.
