Surabhi Kasera

Dr. Surabhi Kasera excels in the field of psychiatry, serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. With a robust academic background, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine. Her residency was completed at the University of North Carolina Hospitals, where she honed her skills and developed a keen interest in mental health. Dr. Kasera's expertise lies in college mental health, where she plays a pivotal role at UNC Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Her dedication to this area is complemented by her specialization in eating disorders, both in outpatient and inpatient settings. She collaborates closely with the Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders and the Eating Disorders Unit, contributing significantly to the advancement of treatment and care in these areas. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Kasera is deeply committed to medical education. She serves as the Associate Clerkship Director for the medical student psychiatry rotation, where she mentors and guides future physicians.
