Steven P. Trau

Dr. Steven P. Trau has expertise in child neurology, with a particular focus on Tourette Syndrome and the management of status epilepticus. As an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he plays a pivotal role in advancing the field of child neurology through both his teaching and clinical practice. Dr. Trau serves as the Director of the UNC Clinic for Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders, where he leads efforts to provide comprehensive care and innovative treatment strategies for patients. Dr. Trau's academic journey began at Emory University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 2012. He further honed his skills and knowledge during his residency in Child Neurology at Duke University, which he completed in 2019.
