Dr. William Calo is devoted to exploring challenges in public health, particularly those affecting diverse and disadvantaged populations. As an Associate Professor in the Departments of Public Health Sciences and Family and Community Medicine at the School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his research and teaching. His work is centered around community-clinical linkages, HPV vaccine uptake, and Latino health services research, with a strong emphasis on cancer prevention and control. Dr. Calo's research is particularly focused on adapting, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based interventions to enhance cancer prevention and control. He is deeply engaged in examining the impact of interpersonal, systems, and policy strategies on HPV vaccine uptake, especially in rural communities.
