Dr. Reid Powell has a longstanding interest in advancing the field of veterinary physiology and pharmacology through innovative research methodologies. As a Research Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University's Center for Translational Cancer Research, he is dedicated to pioneering high throughput screening platforms that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of biomedical research. Dr. Powell's academic journey began with a B.S. in Biochemistry from Texas Tech University in 2012, followed by a Ph.D. in Medical Science from Texas A&M University in 2018. His research is at the intersection of computer science and biology, where he focuses on contextualizing high dimensional data to derive meaningful insights. Dr. Powell is particularly adept at developing distributed computing clusters, which are essential for managing and analyzing large datasets. His work in lab automation and image-based analysis has significantly contributed to the field, enabling more precise and rapid data collection and interpretation.
