Tyler Marie Kiles

Professor Tyler Marie Kiles is working to advance the understanding of community pharmacy, social determinants of health, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the College of Pharmacy, The University of Texas at Austin, she brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare education and practice. Dr. Kiles holds a Pharm.D. and is a Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) professional. Her academic journey is marked by significant roles, including her tenure as an Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy. Her practical experience is further enriched by her time as an Assistant Manager at Kroger Pharmacy, where she honed her skills in community pharmacy management and patient care. Her research interests are deeply rooted in the social determinants of health, focusing on how these factors impact patient outcomes and the delivery of healthcare services. Dr. Kiles is particularly passionate about addressing the needs of underserved and minority communities, striving to create equitable healthcare environments through her work.
