Lindsay Hamm
Professor with a passion for advancing studies in sociology and education, Lindsay Hamm serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Sociology department at Purdue University. She earned her doctorate in Sociology from North Carolina State University in 2018, where she honed her expertise in the scholarship of teaching and learning, service learning, and human interactions with artificial intelligence. Lindsay's current research endeavors focus on the innovative development of an artificially intelligent grader. This project is designed to provide students with insightful feedback on their writing assignments, aiming to enrich the educational experience for both students and instructors. By integrating AI into the grading process, she seeks to explore the dynamics of human-AI interactions and address potential biases that may arise in automated feedback systems.
