Dr. Schubmehl's journey in medicine began at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 1973. Following his graduation, Dr. Schubmehl pursued an internship in Internal Medicine at Case Western Reserve University, which provided him with a solid foundation in medical practice. He then specialized in Psychiatry, completing his residency at the Bronx Municipal Hospital Center GME.
