Kathleen L. Austin, D.O., leads impactful research in the field of family medicine, contributing significantly to the academic and clinical community at the University of Rochester. As an Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine, she is dedicated to advancing the practice and understanding of family medicine through both her teaching and clinical work. Dr. Austin earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. Her commitment to patient care and medical education was further honed during her residency in family medicine at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY. Her training has equipped her with a comprehensive skill set that she applies in her practice and in mentoring future healthcare professionals. In her role at UR Medicine, Dr. Austin is known for her patient-centered approach and her dedication to providing high-quality care.
