John F. Coyle
Fostering collaboration across sectors to enhance the understanding and application of complex legal principles, John F. Coyle serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Duke University School of Law. With a distinguished career in academia and practice, Professor Coyle brings a wealth of experience to his students and colleagues. Prior to his current role, he was a Climenko Fellow at Harvard Law School, where he honed his teaching and research skills. Professor Coyle's legal journey began with a prestigious clerkship for Judge Reena Raggi on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Following his clerkship, he practiced corporate law at the esteemed firm Covington & Burling LLP in Washington, D.C. This practical experience in corporate law has significantly informed his academic pursuits and teaching methodologies. His research interests are deeply rooted in the fields of corporate law, conflict of laws, and private international law.
