

Marjorie N. Edguer
Dr. Marjorie N. Edguer conducts research on resilience in youth, with a particular focus on immigrant youth, trauma and loss, and mindfulness. As an Assistant Professor at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University, she brings over 25 years of experience in social work, primarily working with children, adolescents, and their families. Dr. Edguer's research interests are deeply rooted in understanding how resilience can be fostered among young people, especially those who have experienced trauma and loss. Her work aims to develop effective strategies and interventions that support immigrant youth in navigating the challenges they face, promoting their well-being and integration into new environments. In addition to her research, Dr. Edguer is dedicated to teaching and mentoring the next generation of social workers.
