Karen J. Gilmer
Professor Karen J. Gilmer is creating an impact through research in the fields of fashion and dress, costume history, and African American theatre history. As a Teaching Associate Professor and Costume Designer in the Department of Theatre Arts at the University of Pittsburgh, she brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to her role. With an MFA in Costume Design from Boston University and a BA in French from West Chester University, Professor Gilmer combines her academic background with her passion for the arts.
