Kyle Lambert
Professor at the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Old Dominion University, Kyle Lambert is an Assistant Professor with a keen focus on advancing the field of medicinal and organic chemistry. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut in 2017, where he honed his skills in synthetic chemistry and developed a passion for creating innovative solutions to complex chemical challenges. Following his doctoral studies, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Baylor University, further expanding his expertise in the synthesis of complex molecules. Professor Lambert's research is centered on the development of new synthetic methods aimed at constructing complex molecules, including natural products and pharmaceuticals. His work is driven by the potential these molecules have in advancing medical treatments and improving human health. His research group is actively engaged in exploring novel pathways and methodologies that could lead to more efficient and sustainable chemical syntheses. In addition to his academic pursuits, Professor Lambert is deeply committed to mentoring students and fostering a collaborative research environment. He believes in the importance of nurturing the next generation of chemists and is dedicated to providing his students with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in their careers. Outside the laboratory, Professor Lambert enjoys spending time in nature. He is an avid fisherman and boater, often taking to the water to unwind and find inspiration. He also enjoys hiking and running, activities that allow him to appreciate the beauty of the outdoors while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. His love for nature not only provides a balance to his professional life but also fuels his passion for sustainable scientific practices.
