Jerome is a distinguished Adjunct Professor in the Department of Microbiology and a Professor in Laboratory Medicine at the University of Washington. With a robust academic foundation, he earned his B.S. in Chemistry from Georgetown College, followed by M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Duke University. Professor Jerome's research is at the forefront of virology, focusing on chronic and latent viruses such as HIV, hepatitis B virus, herpes simplex virus, and human papillomavirus.
