Dr. Gözde Güran is redefining paradigms in the fields of economic sociology, cultural sociology, and migration studies. As an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her students and colleagues. Dr. Güran earned her Ph.D. in Sociology from Princeton University, where she honed her skills in both ethnographic and experimental research methods. Before joining Georgetown University, Dr. Güran was an academy scholar at the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies, where she expanded her research on global migration patterns and their socio-economic impacts.
