

Shuwen Li
Expanding possibilities in the domain of communication and media, Shuwen Li serves as an Associate Professor of Instruction within Northwestern University's Writing Program. With a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Scientific & Technical Communication from the University of Minnesota, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her students and colleagues alike. Her research interests are diverse and dynamic, encompassing video blogging, professional writing and communication, social media, tactical technical communication, and intercultural communication. At Northwestern, Professor Li is dedicated to enhancing students' understanding of effective communication in various contexts. She teaches English 282, Writing and Speaking in Business, where she guides students in mastering the art of clear and persuasive communication in professional settings. Additionally, she instructs DSGN 106, Design Thinking and Communication, a course that integrates creative problem-solving with effective communication strategies. Professor Li's work is characterized by a commitment to bridging cultural and technical divides through innovative communication practices.
