

Sarah Wigley
Sarah Wigley is a distinguished Clinical Associate Professor of Voice at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she plays a pivotal role in the Lyric Theatre department. Her teaching portfolio includes courses such as Lyric Theatre Studio, Musical Theatre Repertoire, Contemporary Graduate Voice, and the BMA Senior Showcase. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she manages a thriving voice studio with over 20 students, nurturing the next generation of vocal talent. Wigley's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Music in Voice from the University of Minnesota, followed by a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Colorado State University. Her expertise in contemporary voice is further underscored by her status as an internationally certified Estill Voice Master Trainer, a credential that highlights her commitment to innovative vocal techniques and pedagogy. Beyond her academic and teaching roles, Wigley is actively involved in several professional organizations. She serves as the President of the Illinois Chapter of the National Society of Arts and Letters, where she champions the arts and supports emerging artists. Additionally, she is the Development Liaison for the Central Region of the National Association for Teachers of Singing, contributing to the growth and development of vocal education in the region. Wigley's creative endeavors extend to the world of performance and production. She recently had the opportunity to collaborate with Franc D’Ambrosio, creating his new touring show, "Beyond the Chandelier." This project showcases her ability to blend artistic vision with practical execution, further cementing her reputation as a versatile and accomplished professional in the field of voice and theatre.
