

Grace (Qing) Zhao
Dr. Grace (Qing) Zhao is a recognized authority in the field of pathology and laboratory medicine, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Boston Medical Center. With a robust educational background, Dr. Zhao earned her MD and MS degrees from the esteemed Norman Bethune University of Medical Science in China. She further advanced her academic pursuits by obtaining a PhD from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where she honed her expertise in medical research. Dr. Zhao's professional journey is marked by her comprehensive training and specialization. She completed her residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, which laid the foundation for her subsequent fellowship in Surgical Pathology and GI and Liver Pathology at the renowned University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. This extensive training has equipped her with a profound understanding of complex pathological conditions and their clinical implications. Her research interests are deeply rooted in the pathological assessment of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, a field where she has contributed significantly to understanding the disease's progression and treatment responses. Dr. Zhao is also dedicated to exploring the loss of protein expression of ATRX/Daxx in gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, aiming to unravel the molecular mechanisms that underpin these conditions. In addition to her focus on specific tumor types, Dr. Zhao is passionate about investigating the developmental pathways and their aberrant expression in tumor development.
