

Nahid Bhadelia
Exploring the intersection of global health security and pandemic preparedness, Dr. Nahid Bhadelia serves as an Associate Professor at Boston University's Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She is the founding director of the Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases Policy and Research, where she leads initiatives to enhance our understanding and response to emerging infectious diseases. Her research is deeply rooted in evaluating diagnostics and medical countermeasures, as well as improving clinical care for emerging infections. Dr. Bhadelia has played pivotal roles in shaping national and international health policies. She has served as the Senior Policy Advisor for Global COVID-19 Response for the White House COVID-19 Response Team, where she contributed to strategic planning and implementation of pandemic response measures. Additionally, she was the testing coordinator for the White House MPOX Response Team, further showcasing her expertise in managing public health crises. Her contributions to the field have not gone unnoticed, as her work has been featured in documentaries by National Geographic and NOVA, highlighting her commitment to advancing global health security.
