Dan Surry

Dan Surry serves as the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and a Professor at the Harrison College of Pharmacy, Auburn University. Since joining the college in 2014, he has been instrumental in shaping the academic landscape through his leadership and dedication to educational excellence. His role involves assessing curricular outcomes, recommending improvements, and fostering educational innovations and research, ensuring that the college remains at the forefront of pharmacy education. Before his tenure at Auburn University, Surry accumulated a wealth of experience across various esteemed institutions. His career journey includes significant roles at the University of South Alabama, University of Southern Mississippi, University of Alabama, California State University-Fresno, the University of Georgia, and the United States Air Force Academy. This diverse background has equipped him with a broad perspective and a deep understanding of the educational sector. Surry's academic credentials are as impressive as his professional journey. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Alabama, followed by a Master of Science in Instructional Design from the University of South Alabama. He further advanced his expertise by obtaining an Ed.D. from the University of Georgia, which has been pivotal in his contributions to the field of education and technology. In addition to his administrative and teaching responsibilities, Surry is actively involved in scholarly activities. He has co-edited two books and holds editorial positions for several journals, focusing on the intersection of technology and education.
