Todd Franks

Todd Franks is a distinguished Professor of Practice and Program Coordinator for Wildlife Enterprise Management at the College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment. With over 25 years of experience in the exotic hunting industry, he has carved a niche for himself as an expert in the hospitality and luxury outdoor recreation sectors. His academic journey began with a B.S. in Business Administration from Texas Tech University, followed by an M.S. in Hospitality & Retail Management from the same institution. He further advanced his expertise by earning a Ph.D. in Human Dimensions of Natural Resources from Colorado State University. Professor Franks is deeply committed to education and is known for his engaging teaching style. He is responsible for courses such as Hunting and Fishing the World, Sporting Firearms and Archery, and Advanced Wildlife Enterprise Management. These courses reflect his dedication to blending practical knowledge with academic rigor, preparing students for successful careers in wildlife enterprise management. His research interests are centered around understanding the factors influencing destination choice and the overall satisfaction of guests at luxury hunting and fishing destinations.
