Xiao Qin
Dr. Xiao Qin is an advocate for innovation in the realm of computer science, particularly focusing on the advancement of parallel and distributed systems, real-time computing, and storage systems. As a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Auburn University, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his students and colleagues. Dr. Qin's academic journey began at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China, where he earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science in 1996 and 1999, respectively. His pursuit of knowledge led him to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2004. This solid educational foundation has equipped him with the skills and insights necessary to contribute significantly to the field of computer science. At Auburn University, Dr. Qin serves as the Director of Computer Science and Software Engineering Graduate Programs, a role in which he oversees the academic and professional development of graduate students.
