

Guy Cardineau
Renowned for innovative teaching in the intersection of law, science, and technology, Guy Cardineau is an Emeritus Professor at Arizona State University. With a distinguished career that spans both academia and industry, he has made significant contributions to the field of biotechnology. Dr. Cardineau earned his doctorate in molecular and cellular biology, which laid the foundation for his extensive work in biotechnology. Before joining Arizona State University, Dr. Cardineau held pivotal roles in several leading biotechnology companies, including Sungene Technologies, Agrigenetics, Mycogen Corporation, and Dow AgroSciences. His industry experience has been instrumental in shaping his academic endeavors, particularly in bridging the gap between scientific innovation and legal frameworks. At ASU, Dr. Cardineau was actively involved in the Technology Ventures Clinic, where he played a crucial role in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among students and faculty. His efforts were also pivotal in the establishment of the Innovation Institute, a testament to his commitment to advancing technological education and research. Although he retired from ASU in 2008, Dr. Cardineau's passion for teaching and innovation led him back to the university in 2016. He joined the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law as an instructor, where he continues to inspire students with his expertise in the Center for Law, Science and Innovation.
