Fostering collaboration across sectors to enhance the field of biomedical engineering, Associate Professor Shaopeng Wang is a distinguished faculty member at Arizona State University (ASU). He holds a joint appointment in the School of Biological and Health Systems Engineering and the Biodesign Center for Bioelectronics and Biosensors. His work is pivotal in advancing the development of biosensors and bioinstrumentation, which are crucial for biomedical research, drug discovery, and disease diagnosis. Professor Wang's research is particularly focused on label-free optical and electrochemical sensing technologies. These technologies are instrumental in detecting chemical and biological targets without the need for labels or markers, thus offering a more streamlined and efficient approach to sensing.
