Mija Hubler

Inspiring change in the area of civil and environmental engineering, Dr. Mija Hubler is a distinguished Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder. With a robust academic foundation, she earned her MS from Cornell University in 2009 and completed her PhD in Structural Engineering at Northwestern University in 2013. Since joining the faculty in 2015, Dr. Hubler has been instrumental in advancing research and education in the Civil, Environmental, and Architectural Engineering Department. Dr. Hubler serves as the Co-Director of the Center of Infrastructure, Energy, and Space Testing (CIEST), where she plays a pivotal role in pioneering research initiatives. Her work is primarily centered on the evaluation and redesign of structures, with a keen focus on construction materials testing and the development of design codes.
