Vinnie Gupta takes a creative approach to solving problems in the field of mechanical engineering, leveraging his extensive experience to inspire innovation and excellence. As a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology, he has dedicated over 36 years to advancing education and research. His commitment to teaching and leadership has been recognized with numerous awards from esteemed organizations such as RIT, the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). In addition to his primary role, Professor Gupta holds a faculty position in the Materials Science & Engineering program, where he contributes to the development of cutting-edge materials and technologies. His leadership extends to his role as the Director of the Advanced Materials Laboratory, where he oversees pioneering research initiatives. Furthermore, he serves as an administrator for both the Materials Science Laboratory and the Strength of Materials Laboratory, ensuring that these facilities remain at the forefront of scientific discovery and education.
