

Arafaat Valiani
Arafaat A. Valiani's research defines new horizons for understanding the intersections of decolonization, biomedicine, and human genomics. As an Associate Professor in the Department of History at the University of Oregon, he also holds a Graduate Faculty appointment in the Department of Indigenous, Race and Ethnic Studies and Global Health. His work critically examines precision medicine, difference, and equity, with a particular focus on the impacts these have on Indigenous and racialized peoples, especially within the Americas and among South Asians globally.
