Max Zahniser is an esteemed Adjunct Professor of Architecture and Sustainability in the Built Environment Minor at Drexel University's Westphal College. With a career deeply rooted in sustainable development and green building, Zahniser brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his students. He is recognized as a LEED Fellow Emeritus and holds certifications from both the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA). Zahniser's professional journey includes a significant tenure at the U.S. Green Building Council, where he served as the LEED® Certification and Process & Integration Program Manager. During his time there, he played a pivotal role in certifying over 200 LEED® buildings and was instrumental in the technical and process development of nearly every LEED® program. His contributions have been acknowledged in prestigious publications such as The New York Times, highlighting his influence in the field of sustainable architecture. In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Zahniser is a co-author of "The Integrative Design Guide to Green Building - Redefining the Practice of Sustainability," a seminal work that explores innovative approaches to sustainable design. His commitment to advancing sustainable practices is further demonstrated through his leadership of Praxis | Building Solutions, LLC, where he continues to drive forward-thinking solutions in architecture and sustainability.
