Dallan Flake inspires the academic community to rethink the intersections of law and society through his innovative research and teaching. As an Associate Dean of Faculty Scholarship and an Associate Professor of Law at Gonzaga University, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of legal education. In addition, he serves as the Faculty Director of the Academic Support Program (A.S.P.), where he is dedicated to enhancing student success and academic excellence. Before joining Gonzaga Law in 2022, Professor Flake enriched the academic environments at Ohio Northern University College of Law and Brigham Young University with his expertise and passion for teaching. His academic journey is marked by a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and an M.S. in Sociology from Brigham Young University, equipping him with a robust foundation to explore complex legal and social issues. Professor Flake's research interests are deeply rooted in employment law, with a particular focus on Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. He is especially interested in religious accommodations in the workplace, advocating for employee rights and exploring the challenges faced by formerly incarcerated individuals seeking employment. His work contributes to a broader understanding of how legal frameworks can support a more inclusive and equitable workforce. Through his scholarship and teaching, Dallan Flake continues to inspire students and colleagues alike, fostering a dynamic and inclusive academic community at Gonzaga University.
