Andrew Sen

Dr. Andrew Sen is an Assistant Professor conducting influential research on structural analysis and natural hazards at Marquette University's Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering Department. With a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle, obtained in 2018, Dr. Sen has established himself as a prominent figure in the field of structural engineering. His research primarily focuses on the behavior and design of structural steel components and systems, as well as the engineering challenges posed by natural hazards. Dr. Sen is particularly interested in the repair and retrofit of existing structures, employing large-scale experimentation and advanced nonlinear structural analysis methods to develop innovative solutions. In addition to his research, Dr. Sen is dedicated to educating the next generation of engineers. He teaches a variety of courses, including structural analysis, structural steel design, advanced structural steel design, and earthquake engineering.
