Samuel Marcrom

Dr. Samuel Marcrom is an esteemed Associate Professor and the Associate Director of the Radiation Oncology Residency Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). With a robust career in the field of radiation oncology, Dr. Marcrom has made significant contributions to both clinical practice and academic medicine. He serves as the Associate Medical Director for Brachytherapy and is also the director of the Medical Student Clerkship, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of future medical professionals. Dr. Marcrom's expertise spans a wide array of specialized areas, including Brachytherapy, Proton Therapy, and the treatment of Gynecological, Sarcoma, Genitourinary, and Central Nervous System cancers. He earned his medical doctorate from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2014, laying a strong foundation for his career in medicine. During his residency, Dr. Marcrom was recognized for his outstanding contributions and was awarded the American Brachytherapy Society Annual Meeting Resident Travel Award in 2018.
