Marek Dubovec

Dr. Marek Dubovec excels in the field of law with a particular focus on Comparative Law, International Trade, and Business Law. As a Part-time Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona Law School, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his students. Dr. Dubovec earned his S.J.D. from the James E. Rogers College of Law in 2009, following an LL.M. in International Trade Law in 2004. His academic journey began with a Magister of Law from the University of Matej Bel, College of Law, in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, in 2003. Dr. Dubovec's professional career is marked by significant contributions to legal reform and education. Since 2022, he has served as the Director of Law Reform Programs for International Law, where he continues to influence the development and implementation of legal frameworks on a global scale. Prior to this role, he was the Executive Director of the Kozolchyk National Law Center in Tucson, Arizona, from 2017 to 2022. His leadership at the center was instrumental in advancing legal research and policy initiatives. In addition to his administrative roles, Dr. Dubovec has enriched the academic community through his teaching engagements. He was a Visiting Professor at the James E. Rogers College of Law in the spring of 2014, and earlier, he shared his expertise with students at the University of Puerto Rico, School of Law, during the summer of 2007. These positions reflect his commitment to fostering a deeper understanding of complex legal issues among future legal professionals. Dr. Dubovec's research interests lie at the intersection of Business & Commercial Law, Comparative Law, and International Trade & Business Law.
