Jeff Vanderlee

Dr. Jeff Vanderlee has a profound understanding of music education and choral conducting, which he brings to his role as an Assistant Professor of Practice in the College of Fine Arts at the University of Arizona. With a rich academic background that includes degrees in music education, choral conducting, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in conducting, Dr. Vanderlee is well-equipped to inspire and educate the next generation of musicians. At the University of Arizona, Dr. Vanderlee leads the esteemed choral ensemble Collegium Musicum, where he fosters a dynamic and engaging learning environment for his students. He is dedicated to teaching both private graduate conducting lessons and the undergraduate choral conducting sequence, ensuring that his students receive comprehensive training in the art of conducting. Beyond his academic responsibilities, Dr. Vanderlee is an active conductor, clinician, and accompanist, making significant contributions to the Tucson community and beyond. His involvement extends to his role as the Director of Music at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, where he oversees the music program and enriches the worship experience through his musical leadership.
