Janick Artiola's approach blends rigorous analysis with practical applications in the field of environmental science. As an Associate Professor and Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Soil, Water and Environmental Science at the University of Arizona, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his students and colleagues. Additionally, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Global Change Graduate Interdisciplinary Programs, where he contributes to the understanding of global environmental challenges. Dr. Artiola earned his PhD in Soil & Water Science from the University of Arizona in 1980, marking the beginning of a distinguished career in academia and research. His work is primarily centered on waste management and environmental remediation, with a particular focus on the land treatment of hazardous and municipal wastes. His research also extends to the reclamation of saline soils, a critical area for sustainable agriculture and environmental health.
