Fellipe Raymundo

Dr. Fellipe Raymundo takes a creative approach to solving problems in the realm of accounting and finance, leveraging his extensive academic and professional background to contribute to the field. As an Assistant Professor in the William Dillard Department of Accounting at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, he has been an integral part of the faculty since Fall 2020. His academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from IBMEC in Brazil, followed by a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Arkansas, culminating in a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Tennessee. Before transitioning to academia, Dr. Raymundo gained valuable experience in the financial industry. He held significant roles at JGP Asset Management and Appia Capital, where he honed his skills in financial analysis and asset management. This industry experience provides him with a practical perspective that enriches his teaching and research. Dr. Raymundo's research interests lie in the intricate dynamics of corporate disclosures and accounting information. He is particularly focused on understanding how capital market participants utilize and interpret financial statement information and other corporate disclosures. His work aims to shed light on the decision-making processes of investors and other stakeholders, contributing to a deeper understanding of financial markets. In the classroom, Dr. Raymundo is dedicated to imparting his knowledge of financial accounting to his students. He currently teaches Intermediate Accounting II, where he emphasizes the importance of critical thinking and analytical skills. His teaching philosophy is centered around engaging students with real-world applications of accounting principles, preparing them for successful careers in the field. Dr. Raymundo is committed to advancing the field of accounting through both his research and teaching.
