

Margaret Worsley
Margaret Worsley is a distinguished clarinetist, lecturer, and educator with a rich history of performances with orchestras and chamber groups across the globe. As the principal clarinetist of the San Bernardino Symphony, she brings her expertise and passion for music to audiences in her community. In addition to her performance career, Worsley serves as an associate professor at San Bernardino Valley College, where she is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of musicians. Worsley’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from California State University, Fullerton. She further honed her skills by earning an Artist Diploma in Orchestral Studies from the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music. Her pursuit of excellence continued at the University of Michigan, where she obtained a Master's in Clarinet Performance. Currently, she is expanding her academic horizons by pursuing a PhD in Education, specializing in Instructional Design for Online Learning, reflecting her commitment to innovative teaching methods. In her role as the artistic director of the Orange County Clarinet Consort, Worsley has been instrumental in promoting clarinet music and fostering a vibrant community of clarinetists. She is also a founding member of the West Coast Wind Quintet, where she collaborates with fellow musicians to explore diverse repertoires and engage audiences with dynamic performances. Beyond her musical endeavors, Worsley is actively involved in various music organizations. She serves on the board of the San Bernardino Valley Concert Association and the Music Association of California Community Colleges, contributing her insights and leadership to advance the arts in her region.
