Lucy Lewis

Well-versed in the complexities of orchestral music education, Dr. Lucy Lewis serves as an Associate Professor at California State University San Bernardino. With a profound commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians, she coordinates the String Area and directs the Orchestral Studies Program. Her teaching repertoire includes Applied Violin and Viola, String Methods, and String Pedagogy, where she imparts her extensive knowledge and passion for music to her students. Before her tenure at CSUSB, Dr. Lewis was the Director of the Loma Linda Academy String Program, where she significantly contributed to the growth and development of young string musicians. Her career also includes esteemed positions at various institutions, notably the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, where she honed her skills in music education and performance. Dr. Lewis is deeply committed to the development of young musicians, exemplified by her founding of the CSUSB Young Artist Competition.
